Judy Swain

Judy is a physician scientist widely known in the field of molecular cardiology, and pioneered the use of transgenic animals to understand cardiovascular development and disease. 

She has served as Chair of the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, Dean for Translational Medicine at the University of California, San Diego as well as Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. 

Judy has held several national leadership roles, including President of the American Association of Physicians, President of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, and an elected member of the Council of the National Academy of Medicine. 

Judy is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Physiowave, LLC and has served as a Director / Science advisor to several biotech and pharmaceutical companies. She is the recipient of the Singapore Presidential Science and Technology Medal, the highest scientific award bestowed in Singapore.
